It’s spring in Seattle and surprisingly dry, which means I’ve packed away my boots in favor of my warmer weather favorites. In not particular order…
White Tod loafers
There is no denying that the current situation is crap, but it comes with a silver lining in the form of really good designer sales. About six weeks ago I decided to indulge in a pair of shoes I have wanted for YEARS. I found a classic pair of white Tod’s Gommino loafers on Farfetch for something like 40% off and snapped them up.
I am a US 10 and ordered the equivalent IT 40, but they were a bit snug and next time I’ll order up a half size. I’ve managed to brake them in around the house and on short runs to the grocery store, and now they are fine for longer walks through the park. I suspect they will only get better with time and I’m definitely going to be building a collection of these classic loafers.
I am styling them with a floral print skirt and striped black and white t-shirt.

Pink Ted Baker sneakers
Ted baker is a brand I have loved in theory, but never owed. I’ll stop to admire a dress but it somehow never fells like something I would actually wear. A few months ago I came across a pair of pink Ted Baker sneakers on Amazon for a great price. The color, small floral details and metallic trim balance out the more neutral sneaker shape. They felt feminine without going overboard, and I thought that would be a nice addition to my shoe rack. They are also VERY comfortable.

My only complaints are that the floral details can peel a bit if you are not cautious, and the laces are not holding up after a few wears. They come with a second set of laces and it’s an easy problem to solve, but I’m not gentle on shoes and I worry these may not hold up very well.
I’ve been styling them with my white linen Madewell dress or a white lace skirt, and some kind of t-shirt or button up.
Black Target sandals

Year in and year out there is one pair of sandals I MUST buy, the Universal Thread – Anabel Braided Thong Ankle Strap Sandals from Target. They come in a few basic colors, are comfortable, inexpensive, and very cute. I have two pairs (black and brown) and may literally die if they are ever discontinued. I definitely want to stock up on a few pairs for this summer. Probably a new brown pair to replace my current pair, and the metallic gold ones.
I’m styling my go-to sandals with never fail jeans and white t-shirt for an effortless spring/summer look. Why complicate life or style if you don’t need to.
What shoes are you wearing right now?
